Basketball Recap: Franklin Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

East Wake Academy came into Friday's match looking for another win against Franklin Academy, but Addison Soles wouldn't allow it. The Franklin Academy Patriots secured a 41-36 W over the East Wake Academy Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Soles, who went 6 for 11 en route to 16 points. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high.

Iliana Rodriguez was another key player, putting up seven points and 14 rebounds. She is becoming a predictor of Franklin Academy's success: when she posts at least eight boards the team is 4-2 (and 4-6 when she doesn't).

Franklin Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for East Wake Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Franklin Academy will square off against Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Wake Academy, they will face off against Wake Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Wake Academy is on a four-game streak of home wins, Wake Prep Academy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
