Football Recap: Villa Park Comes Up Short Despite Sebastian Hamblet's Big Defensive Game + How To Watch

Villa Park played against San Juan Hills on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Even if they lost, Villa Park's defense still kept up the pressure with 4.5 sacks. Sebastian Hamblet was especially locked on to San Juan Hills' QB and sacked him three times. Villa Park got some further help from Maverick Declark: he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

A big part of San Juan Hills' victory came down to the chemistry between Timmy Herr and his top target Luke Frith. Herr threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes while Frith gained 136 total yards and two touchdowns. Herr's passing game has become a key predictor of San Juan Hills' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Villa Park and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for San Juan Hills, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
