Recap: McKenzie Eagles vs. Powers Cruisers
On Friday, McKenzie came up short against Powers and fell 41-30. McKenzie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, McKenzie still got an impressive performance from Griffin Withalm, who scored 15 points along with 4 steals. Will Meister was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
McKenzie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Powers, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKenzie will challenge Yoncalla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yoncalla comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Powers is on the road again on Saturday and play against Lewis Academy at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Lewis Academy is ranked 17th, while Powers is ranked 25th).
