Basketball Game Preview: Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers vs. Twin River Titans

The Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers will challenge the Twin River Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newman Grove/St. Edward has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Newman Grove/St. Edward is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Elba 64-15. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Anthony Reader was his usual excellent self, putting up 21 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Triton Sindelar, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Twin River lost to Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the road by a 60-42 margin on Tuesday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newman Grove/St. Edward is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Twin River, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
