Softball Game Preview: Ferris Saxons vs. Mead Panthers

The Ferris Saxons will challenge the Mead Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ferris lost 17-3 to University on Thursday. The Saxons have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Tori Norling made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Hyndman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Mead unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Mt. Spokane, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since May 3, 2024.

Mead's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Ferris, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
