Softball Recap: Corbett Cardinals vs. Warrenton Warriors
Corbett lost against Warrenton back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Corbett Cardinals lost 15-4 to the Warrenton Warriors. The loss continues a trend for Corbett in their matchups with Warrenton: they've now lost three in a row.
Ally Schimel was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Holwege, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Corbett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Warrenton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.
As of now, neither Corbett nor Warrenton have any future games scheduled.
