It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Discovery Canyon can now relate to. They fell just short of the Green Mountain Rams by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Thunder's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Andrew Torres was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April.

On the hitting side, Jaxon Ross made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Discovery Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Green Mountain, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8-1.
