Volleyball Preview: Compass Academy vs. Brownfield Cubs        
        
		
             Compass Academy has gone 5-0 against Brownfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. Compass Academy will host the Brownfield Cubs  at 11:00  a.m. Compass Academy will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak  alive.
 Last Tuesday, Compass Academy made easy work of Crane  and carried off  a  3-0 win.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Compass Academy was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14,  25-8.
 Compass Academy can attribute much of their success to   Bella Carrasco, who  had five  aces and 12  assists, and   Ellie Molinar, who  had eight  digs and three  aces. That's the most  aces  Carrasco has posted since back in September.
 Compass Academy  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 18  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in 19 consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Brownfield was able to grind out a solid  victory over Lamesa on Tuesday, taking the game  3-1.
 In the three sets Brownfield was on fire: they won each by at least 25 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 0-25,  25-0.
 Compass Academy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record  this season. As for Brownfield, their win bumped their record up to 4-18.
 Compass Academy took their  victory against Brownfield  in their previous meeting  on October 8th by a conclusive  3-0. Does  Compass Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brownfield turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
