Northern Lakes recap Oct. 3, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wawasee, who took down 71st ranked Warsaw, 14-13.
Plymouth extended the longest winning streak in Northern Lakes this week by beating Concord, 31-28. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Pilgrims.
Warsaw's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Head has thrown for 289 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Taylor Cone has 20 catches for 299 yards. Tristan McClone leads the league in rushing with 1168 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when NorthWood takes on the Tigers. The Panthers are in fourth place, while Warsaw is in first place.
The Warriors moved up to 171 from 197 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northern Lakes. Wawasee was able to make the jump by beating Phil Jensen's team 14-13.
