             After flying high against Hamilton  last Friday, West Catholic came back down to earth. The West Catholic Falcons took  a  34-20 bruising from the Zeeland West Dux on Thursday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
  Grady Augustyn threw for 171 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 59 yards on only eight carries.  
 Aaron Ricord was his top target, making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss).  On the ground, 
 David Britenfeld rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 32 receiving yards.
 West Catholic's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 6-3. As for Zeeland West, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 West Catholic and Zeeland West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. West Catholic (ranked 30th) will meet Oakridge (ranked 210th)  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Similarly,  Zeeland West will  face off against  Zeeland East  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday up  65 places (8 vs. 73).
