Soccer Recap: Immanuel Comes Up Short

If Immanuel was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Central Valley Christian last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Immanuel Eagles fell just short of the Kingsburg Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Romualdo Quintal, who's now up to ten this season.

Immanuel has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5-1 record this season. As for Kingsburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12-1.

Immanuel wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hanford West on the 28th. As for Kingsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Selma on the 28th.
