Volleyball Recap: Harrison Takes a Loss

Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 7th.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Mesa Ridge scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-20.

Harrison's offense was headlined by Imani Warner and Audriyna Uribe, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Gadlin and her nine assists. Finally, JaRiah Joseph kept Harrison's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Mesa Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.

Harrison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lotus School For Excellence on the 25th. As for Mesa Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Widefield on the 28th.
