            Softball Recap: Shelbyville Golden Bears vs. Whiteland Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Shelbyville won the last time they faced Whiteland and things went their way  on Monday too. The Golden Bears came out on top against the Warriors by a score of  10-5. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Golden Bears.
 Gracie Crafton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Shelbyville got a big performance out of  Anna Shearer, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  RBI and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Destiney Johnson, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  run.

Shelbyville's win was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-7. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Whiteland, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
 Shelbyville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  10-9  win against Mt. Vernon on the 6th. As for Whiteland, they have also already played their next contest,  a  4-2  defeat against Decatur Central on the 6th.
