It's playoff time, and North Surry had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Forbush Falcons on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Greyhounds sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
KK Collins paced North Surry's offense, picking up 15 kills. Collins got some help from Jaxie Draughn and her 40 assists. Lyla Stanley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Despite the loss, Forbush still got an impressive performance from Karly Berrier, who had 35 digs and three assists. Another player making a difference was Tatum Cranford, who had ten digs and one assist.
North Surry's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Forbush, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
Coming up, North Surry will face off against West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forbush does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
