Football Recap: Kern Valley Takes a Loss

After soaring to 42 points the game before, Kern Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by the Lompoc Braves and fell 42-10. The Broncs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Jackson Price threw for 133 yards and one TD. Aiden Madden was his top target, picking up 93 receiving yards. On the ground, Carson Parks rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown.

Kern Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lompoc, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Kern Valley will face off against Boron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Parks and Andrew Gartica. As for Lompoc, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Arroyo Grande at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
