Pueblo West waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Liberty Lancers 12-2. Considering the Cyclones have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pueblo West's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Pueblo West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will challenge Cheyenne Mountain at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Red-Tailed Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.7 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
