After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Springstead, Central was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Weeki Wachee Hornets as the Central Bears made off with a 76-53 victory. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xavior Haegele, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points. Those 21 points gave Haegele a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Prospero, who posted 19 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weeki Wachee only racked up ten assists.

Despite the defeat, Weeki Wachee had strong showings from Logan White, who had 21 points and six boards, and Logan Beams, who put up 11 points and four steals. The game was White's third in a row with at least ten points.

With the win, Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. As for Weeki Wachee, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-25 victory against Angeline Academy of Innovation on the 16th. As for Weeki Wachee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-45 loss against Hernando on the 17th.
