Volleyball Recap: Thomasville Takes a Loss

Thomasville was the 2-0 winner over Brooks County when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Thomasville sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 15-25, 16-14.

Alex Davis paced Thomasville's offense, picking up four kills. Davis got some help from Kinley Peterson and her six assists. Adalee King controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Thomasville's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 13-10. As for Brooks County, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomasville will face off against Early County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brooks County, they will take on Westover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
