Preview: Deerfield Spartans vs. Moscow Wildcats
Deerfield is 10-0 against Moscow since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Deerfield Spartans' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Moscow Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Deerfield suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Saturday. They were beaten by Southwestern Heights 53-25.
Maverick Najera was Deerfield's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Meanwhile, Moscow's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on January 6th after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 78-27 loss at the hands of Weskan.
Deerfield has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Moscow, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Deerfield against Moscow when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-39 win. Will Deerfield repeat their success, or does Moscow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
