Softball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Has No Trouble Against Las Vegas

Southeast Career Tech won the last time they faced Las Vegas and things went their way on Monday too. The Roadrunners put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Bea Robinson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Aysia Suyat was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Lemus, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Southeast Career Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Las Vegas only posted an OBP of .400.

The victory made it two in a row for Southeast Career Tech and bumps their season record up to 9-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Las Vegas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
