Volleyball Recap: Clovis East Takes a Loss

Clovis East lost to Clovis back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Timberwolves came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Clovis East took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 29-27.

Leading Clovis to victory were William Johnson and Trey Alexander. Johnson had 14 digs and two assists, while Alexander had 14 kills, 12 digs, and one block. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had five or more in each of the last 15 games he's played.

Clovis East's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Clovis, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Clovis East has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Central East on the 9th. As for Clovis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Clovis West on the 9th.
