In what's become a running theme this season, Tri-State Christian gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Providence Christian Academy 93-65 at home. Given Tri-State Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Providence Christian Academy is ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Avon Grove Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Varsity Opponent on Friday, taking the game 56-48.
Avon Grove Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph McGinley, who scored ten points. Kamran Masih was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Tri-State Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points per game. As for Avon Grove Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Everything came up roses for Tri-State Christian against Avon Grove Charter when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 89-51 victory.
