Softball Recap: South Windsor's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

There's no place like home for South Windsor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over the East Catholic Eagles on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Eagles back in April, they had to take a 24-4 loss.

The team relied heavily on Gemma Duhamel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daphne Specht, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double.

With the victory, South Windsor broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-16. As for East Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
