Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Comes Up Short

Unity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The matchup between them and the Tri-State Christian Huskies didn't end well, with the Unity Christian Knights falling 51-33. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 53-39.

Despite the loss, Unity Christian still got an impressive performance from Nathan Woessner, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. That was a full 51.5% of Unity Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Unity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Unity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Tri-State Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.

Unity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-State Christian, they will face off against East Moline Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
