Softball Recap: Mountain Heritage Cougars vs. Draughn Wildcats

Mountain Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Draughn Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mountain Heritage of the 8-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

For Draughn's part, Katie Hamm made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Hamm was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with a double and an RBI.
