Volleyball Recap: Scituate Takes a Loss

Scituate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pembroke Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Scituate started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-11, 25-22, 25-13.

Scituate's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Pembroke, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Scituate will square off against rival Plymouth South at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pembroke is set to face off against their familiar foe Quincy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
