Football Recap: Sexton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sexton waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 28-16 victory over the Ionia Bulldogs. For the Big Reds, this counts as revenge for the 21-20 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Sexton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ionia, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sexton will challenge rival Eaton Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ionia is set to face off against their familiar foe Lansing Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
