Volleyball Recap: Sterling Black Bears vs. Sedgwick Cardinals
Sterling lost against Sedgwick back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Black Bears fell 2-0 to the Cardinals.
While Sterling was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22.
Sedgwick found their leader in sophomore Briella Steventon, who had 11 digs and two aces. Steventon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Natalie Deeds also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
Sterling dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sedgwick, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
