Basketball Preview: Westview Warriors vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies

Westview is 6-1 against the Pilgrims/Rockies since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Westview Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies at 2:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Westview's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Pilgrims/Rockies have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

Westview proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 26) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past West Noble 48-45. Given Westview's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Chargers are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Plymouth pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Goshen.

Westview's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Plymouth, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Westview beat the Pilgrims/Rockies 47-34 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Westview repeat their success, or do the Pilgrims/Rockies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
