Basketball Recap: Minneapolis South Takes a Loss

Minneapolis South was the 77-65 winner over Hiawatha Collegiate when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Minneapolis South Tigers were dealt a 73-45 defeat at the hands of Hiawatha Collegiate on Tuesday. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Minneapolis South has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Hiawatha Collegiate, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Minneapolis South Tigers duke it out with the Como Park Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hiawatha Collegiate, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
