After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mount Airy, Alleghany was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the North Wilkes Vikings 4-0. Considering the Trojans' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
They hit North Wilkes with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Roberto Sanchez (2),
Jose Perez, and
Brian Orduna.
Alleghany moved to 9-7-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for North Wilkes, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
