Basketball Game Preview: National Trail Blazers vs. Anna Rockets

The National Trail Blazers will face off against the Anna Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, National Trail needed a bit of extra time to put away Milton-Union. They walked away with a 53-46 win over the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anna). They came out on top against Jackson Center by a score of 71-64 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rockets, who have now won six contests in a row.

Anna pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for National Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.

National Trail was dealt a bruising 61-33 defeat at the hands of Anna when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can National Trail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
