Baseball Recap: Wakulla Comes Up Short

The Wakulla War Eagles came up short against the Marianna Bulldogs on Wednesday and fell 6-3.

Wakulla got a good showing from Tucker High, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. High has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Wakulla saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesson Stanley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Wakulla has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Marianna, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakulla will welcome Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marianna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mosley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dolphins will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
