Volleyball Recap: Poston Butte Comes Up Short

Poston Butte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Estrella Foothills Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Poston Butte was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-23.

Poston Butte's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Estrella Foothills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Looking ahead, Poston Butte will venture away from home to square off against Combs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Estrella Foothills, they will take on Benjamin Franklin in a tournament on Friday.
