Softball Recap: O'Connell Takes a Loss

O'Connell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the Alpha Omega Academy Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Buccaneers have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Izzy McNally made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria McNally, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

O'Connell's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Alpha Omega Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-12-1.

O'Connell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alpha Omega Academy, they will welcome BVCHEA HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
