Baseball Recap: Canton Has No Trouble Against Hazlehurst

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canton). They were the clear victor by a 20-3 margin over the Hazlehurst Indians on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly 17 runs.

Canton got a massive performance out of Sadrevian Devine, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Canton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .828. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Canton's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hazlehurst, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Canton and Hazlehurst will both be playing Crystal Springs the next time they take the field. Canton will host Crystal Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hazlehurst will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
