Volleyball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Takes a Loss

Sunrise Mountain saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Deer Valley Skyhawks by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Logan Nguyen paced Sunrise Mountain's offense, picking up seven kills. Nguyen got some help from Ethan Greenwood and his 18 assists. Hunter Urteaga controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sunrise Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Deer Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-6.

Sunrise Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Cactus on the 4th. As for Deer Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Centennial on the 4th.
