Meanwhile, Carolina Forest's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was West Florence who was credited with the win. West Florence got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Carolina Forest's three. The loss was the Panthers' first of the season.

Hillcrest's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Carolina Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
