Volleyball Recap: Deer Park Find Success

Deer Park won the last time they faced Steele, and Erin Goodson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Deer skirted past the Knights 2-1 with plenty of help from Goodson, who had 11 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Despite the defeat, Steele saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaycie Lopez had 18 assists and eight digs.

Deer Park's record is now 5-3. As for Steele, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Deer Park has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Barbers Hill on the 19th. As for Steele, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against College Station on the 16th.
