Volleyball Recap: Calaveras Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Calaveras hadn't done well against Bret Harte recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red Hawks blew past the Bullfrogs 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Red Hawks have posted against the Bullfrogs since October 21, 2021.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24, 29-27.

Calaveras' offense was headlined by Alexa Ortega and Madison Jennings, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Brim and her 31 assists.

Calaveras pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bret Harte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
