Baseball Recap: Picayune Gets the Win

After only one run in their last game, Picayune made sure to put some runs up on the board against West Harrison on Friday. Picayune walked away with a 10-7 victory over West Harrison. The Maroon Tide haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Justin Stockstill was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Brunson Stockstill was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Justin wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Picayune kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February.

Picayune's record is now 17-2. As for West Harrison, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Picayune will challenge George County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Picayune's pitchers better be ready for this one: George County has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for West Harrison, they will square off against Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Harrison is facing Hancock at the right time seeing as Hancock is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
