Soccer Recap: Carlmont Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Carlmont and Menlo School squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Carlmont had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Menlo School Knights by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Scots couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Carlmont moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Menlo School, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Carlmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Menlo School, they will challenge Hillsdale on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hillsdale sitting on six straight wins and Menlo School on three.
