Trinity Christian snaps six-game streak of losses at home

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Trinity Christian Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 58-51 victory over Community Christian. The victory was some much needed relief for Trinity Christian as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Despite the defeat, Community Christian saw an underclassman step up: Josiah Marquez dropped a double-double on 22 points and 20 rebounds. Marquez has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Blackburn, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Trinity Christian's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Community Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-2.
Trinity Christian will head out on the road to face off against Pantego Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Community Christian, they will be playing at home against Dallas Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dallas Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
