Basketball Recap: Atlantic Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Atlantic couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eustis Panthers.

Eustis' win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lomar Sparrow, who posted 13 points and six boards. That's the most points Sparrow has posted since back in December of 2024. Cornelius Hines was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Atlantic's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Eustis, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-8.

Atlantic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Eustis and Ribault will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another on March 4th. Eustis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
