Softball Recap: Weston Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Weston's offense. They came up short against the Nonnewaug Chiefs on Monday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Weston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Nonnewaug, their win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2.

While Weston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
