Basketball Game Preview: Washington Eagles vs. Kashmere Fighting Rams

Washington has gone 9-1 against Kashmere recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Washington Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Kashmere Fighting Rams at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.

Last Friday, Washington strolled past Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men with points to spare, taking the game 70-52. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Knights are ranked 1051st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Samuel Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times he's played. Greg Moore was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Kashmere came up short against Yates on Saturday, falling 75-55.

Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Kashmere, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Washington strolled past Kashmere when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 70-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
