Annenberg is 0-10 against Downtown Magnets since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Annenberg Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Downtown Magnets Suns at 4:00 p.m. Annenberg is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Annenberg suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 71-43 defeat at the hands of Central City Value. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Annenberg has suffered against Central City Value since January 17, 2019.
Meanwhile, Downtown Magnets had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They snuck past USC-MAE with a 49-43 victory.
Annenberg's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Downtown Magnets, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
Annenberg was taken down by Downtown Magnets 76-20 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Annenberg was down 38-8.
