Volleyball Recap: Calhoun Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Calhoun had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Calhoun not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Greenfield/Northwestern between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Greenfield/Northwestern still got an impressive performance from Annabeth Thornton, who had 15 digs.

Calhoun's win bumped their record up to 26-10. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-16-1 record this season.

Calhoun wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Carrollton on the 30th. Greenfield/Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
