Football Recap: St. Pius X Sartans vs. Bloomfield Bobcats
St. Pius X and Bloomfield squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but St. Pius X had to settle for second. They were dealt a 62-28 defeat at the hands of the Bloomfield Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Sartans in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Sartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Carpenter, who threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (139 yards to be exact) went to Curtis Flakes III.
St. Pius X moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. As for Bloomfield, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
As of now, neither St. Pius X nor Bloomfield have any future games scheduled.
