Softball Recap: Paradise Valley Christian Prep Panthers vs. Sequoia Charter Stallions
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Paradise Valley Christian Prep walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Sequoia Charter Stallions 13-11. 13 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Catarina Beams made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Evie Williams, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caia Ingram, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run.
